A man and his daughter team up with the remaining Autobots to save humankind from Galvatron. A man, Cade, stumbles upon the discovery that the junk truck he just bought is actually Optimus Prime. It's been 5 years since the Chicago war between Decepticons and Autobots, and remaining Transformers are in hiding. Attinger is trying to capture what's left of the Transformers and has agents scouring the world for them. His lead agent Savoy is working with a robot Lockdown, who is intent on catching Optimus.

When Cade's partner Lucas rats out Optimus' location to the agents, Cade's barn is sabotaged and his daughter Tessa is held hostage. Optimus busts out and rescues them and takes them to the dessert to meet up with the Autobot crew. An outfit called KSI based in Chicago is the one capturing the Transformers, they have a geologist Darcy who has been collecting robots who have been buried in ice. Their metal is forged to create more sophisticated robots, Galvatron, and Stinger, in particular. In an ambush at the KSI HQ, Optimus and Tessa are kidnapped aboard Lockdown's spaceship, but are later saved by Cade and his crew of Autobots.
Meanwhile, Galvatron turns out to be Megatron, and has his own posse of bad bots. He is after a "seed," a bomb-like invention that obliterates lifeforms to be able to harvest metal used to create robots. The seed is in the hands of Joshua, a KSI worker. In Hong Kong, Megatron assaults the city, as he tries to secure the seed. Optimus and a handful of bots however crash-land in the jungle while escaping from the alien ship, and find out that they are not alone. Dinobots have crash-landed with them, but Optimus controls them.
Optimus catches up to Lockdown, who has used his ship to decimate the city. Optimus is stabbed by Lockdown, but he later kills Lockdown and cuts him into two. Galvatron escapes, while Optimus leaves Earth for his own protection.
Best part of story, including ending:
The special effects are insane, the robots are more detailed, and I also like Wahlberg as the lead.
Best scene in story:
When Optimus bursts from out of the barn, coming to Cade's rescue.
Opinion about the main character:
Cade is a regular guy thrown into the chaos of war, and he decides he must do what's right to save his daughter, and the fate of Earth.
