Somebody in the tiny Irish village of Tulaigh Mohr ("Tully Moore"), population 58, has won the Irish lottery, with a prize worth 6.9 million pounds. But no one steps forward to claim it. Elderly Jackie O'Shea and Michael O'Sullivan sniff around and discover that poor Ned Devine was holding the winning ticket the night he died. This cheerfully wicked, totally charming film details Jackie and Michael's attempts, with the help of most of the rest of the town, to fool the lottery officials and law enforcement officials into thinking nobody died, and Jackie is Ned, so our heroes can bring home the big money. Lizzie Quinn, a "nasty piece of work," makes things a bit difficult, and the priest naturally has a qualm or two. . . .
