That person happens to be British Christine Easton, a uptight young woman who is turned off at the idea that Rutland is asking to stay at her place when she wanted a female roommate- believing it is more appropiate than living with someone of the opposite sex and not married. With Sir Rutland's looks and charming ways, Easton gives in to his plea and offer him the chance to stay. The next day, Rutland meets up with Steve Davis, a American athlete that is in the Olympics. After hearing that his story of apartment shopping is similar to Rutlands, the older man invites him to share some space at the apartment he is at.

Knowing that there is not only one man, but two staying seems to be too much for Easton to bear, especially after her arrogant finace Julius Haversack of the Britsh Embassy finds out she is rooming with two guys sends him through the roof. Explaning to Haversack it's a bit of a misunderstanding as he thinks she having a affair, Rutland take matters in his own hands. Rutland sees a opportunity to play Cupid with Easton and Davis, regardless Easton's engagement and Davis negative opinion on marriage. Will they ever come to together under Rutland matchmaking?
