Basically a two-person drama about a bad first date. Jackie and Michael are slightly-acquainted officeworkers in a large New York law firm who meet for dinner at her apartment. Over the course of the film, their loneliness, neuroticisms, and outright fears tumble out of them despite their hopes of connecting and becoming close. Noonan wrote, directed, and stars; Sillas, who showed promise in the shortlived TV police drama set in Portland, "Under Suspicion," is astonishing in a small, mostly slow-paced film that builds from odd nervous laughs to searing bleakness.
