This is a horror movie featuring Harrison Ford and Michelle Pfeiffer. It is shot in Vermont where Norman Spencer (Ford) and his wife Claire Spencer (Michelle Pfeiffer) live. Claire is a housewife who had to quit her job due to an injury. She lives with her husband in a mansion in Vermont. They are a happy couple and beleive to have the perfect marriage.

A little later in the movie Claire starts to see a ghostly figure of a girl. She informs her husband of the sightings but he dismisses the matter as being a psychological imbalance and suggests that she gets therapy.
Claire goes in for therapy but her doctor suggests that she try to communicate with the ghost. Claire begins to investigate the mystery of the melancholy ghost haunting her home and calling out to her. During her investigation, she stumbles upon her husbands illegimate affair and his dead girlfriend.
