|Plot Summary of White Christmas|
Bing Crosby decides to put on a show for guests at the hotel that he's working for. Of course, the show ends with everyone singing the famous Crosby song White Christmas (you'll want to sing along to it, too!). The song, written by Irving Berlin, was originally used in another Crosby film, Holiday Inn. A heartwarming gem of a holiday classic that makes you feel good all over every time you watch it.

Top song and dance act Bob Wallace (Crosby) and Phil Davis (Kaye) met in the Army in the waning days of World War II. Davis introduces Wallace to a pair of beautiful sisters who have a similar act, Betty and Judy Haynes (Clooney and Vera-Ellen, respectively). When the guys travel to a Vermont lodge with the girls in tow to do a Christmas show, they discover their former commanding officer, General Thomas Waverly (Dean Jagger), is the owner. While managing their romantic entanglements, they fashion a show that is partly a tribute to the general. This lovely 1954 Christmas classic, with ardent performances and the songs of Irving Berlin, was actually a remake of the 1942 "Holiday Inn," though Fred Astaire opted out of doing a repeat, and replacement Donald O'Connor also left the cast and the role ultimately filled by Kaye.
