Zandalee (Anderson) is bored with her marriage to poet turned corporate executive Thierry (Reinhold). When an old friend of Thierry's, the egotistical and brooding artist Johnny (Cage), comes to stay with the couple, Zandalee soon falls prey to his charms and the two become enbroiled in a sensuous and passionate not to mention destructive affair that threatens to consume them both. The steamy days and stunning nights set against the backdrop of New Orleans, make for plenty of desire and red hot intensity. However desire turns to hatred and loathing for the lovers when Thierry finds out about the affair and pits his wife against his friend, causing them to turn on one another. He sets out to destroy them both. Johnny retaliates by taunting Zandalee about her foolish misplaced sense of devotion to her dull husband and continues to pursue her relentlessly. Finally Zandalee must choose between the two men- her husband or her lover- and the choice proves not to be an easy one.
The review of this Movie prepared by Patti Illsley
C. Hudson on 6/30/2014 1:29:12 PM says: I felt the US version was not a s good as the versions from Europe or asia, it seemed just thrown together once they decided to go straight to video. Nic Cage was vintage as he played Johnny, the deranged womanizer perfectly. I wish the rights holders would re-distribute the movie with all the various version on one dvd. - One correction to the review. Cage's character did not stay with the Martins, he just worked for Theirry's company and was painting Theirry's portrait when he made his advances towards Zandalee.
