"This is the fourth book in the Malory series. Amy Malory, a minx and now of marriageable age, has already chosen her mate: Warren Anderson. Warren, who is bitter, cynical, and had tried to have Amy's uncle James hanged, considers himself the least appropriate person to be paired with young Amy. Though he is determined to resist Amy's shocking advances, he finds himself surrendering to her charms after they are taken captive by a Chinese warlord intent on retrieving a prized vase that the Andersons had won from him. As they are thrown together on the Chinese warlord's ship, and then narrowly escape, Amy finally succeeds in melting the ice from Warren's heart and winning his love."
