An ordinary bookstor owner Willian is divorced and live with rather stupid looking friend Spike. One day Anna a famous actress walks into William's shop to buy a book. After a while on the street William acidently spills orange juice on Anna and also on himself. William offer her to crash at his place to change, which she agrees.

After that they started seeing each other more and fell in love but this was all over the news. Anna's old boyfriend came back and because of some other problems they stoped seeing each other. But at the end William with the help of his friends gets to a press confrence to ask her to stay and she says yes.

This romantic comedy is about an average man, William Thacker (Hugh Grant), who falls in love with movie star Anna Scott (Julia Roberts). Complications arise when William's room-mate tells the press that Anna is staying at his house. The press has a field day, and Anna immediatly leaves William's home, breaking his heart for the second time. Months later, Anna goes to Williams travel book shop and asks him to love her again. William responds with a no, in hopes of not getting his heart broken once again. William realizes that he has made a huge mistake and chases after her. Has William's poor decision ruined his life or does he regain Anna Scott's heart? This is one of the best romantic comedies ever.

This boy-meets-girl movie is complicated by the fact that he is an "every guy" and she is a movie star. Despite complications caused by insane friends and family and the ever-present fame thing, this movie is romantic and funny and very, very feel-good.
