Detailed plot synopsis reviews of The Lone Survivor

Mark Walhberg is the character Marcus Luttrell. He is part of a Navy Seal team that is sent deep into Afghanistan to find a major Taliban leader. The mission goes completely wrong and the men find themselves under serious attack. Massively outnumbered, they fight valiantly against the enemy that hunts them down in the rough mountainous terrain of Afghanistan. One-by-one, all of the US soldiers are killed except for Marcus who is saved by to local Afghanis and cared for by them in a little village, including a little boy who helps him. He is hidden by them from the marauding Taliban that are still searching for the one remaining US soldier.

The Afghani village protects him because of the tribal culture called "Pashtunwali" which says that a single man in need should be protected by the villagers from his enemies. This makes the village come under attack of the Taliban. The story is unique in that it looks at Afghanistan in an unexpected way and shows there are people in that country that do not accept the rule of the Taliban and do not cooperate with Taliban efforts.

Best part of story, including ending: I really like that the movie is based on true events that actually occurred.

Best scene in story: The best scene is when the little boy gives the soldier a knife so he can protect himself and defeat an attacker in hand-to-hand combat.

Opinion about the main character: This guy is tough as nails and does not give up no matter what.

This movie comes from the writer and director Peter Berg, a gratitude to the United States servicemen. The film starts with a real-life Navy SEALs in training and ends with a slide show of some soldiers living full, happy lives off-duty, who are no more in their bodies. A small group of Navy soldiers find themselves in a secret mission to capture a terrorist in Afghanistan. Eventually without one the rest of them were killed by the terrorists. They fought back with brave and courage. Mark Wahlberg as Marcus Luttrell, finds shelter provided by a kind man in a Afghan village who also stands against the terrorists known as 'Taliban'. At the end of the movie American Navy came and rescued him.
Best part of story, including ending: This film is based on a real story of a brave and courage action and sacrifice for the country. There is also kindness shown by the soldiers and a villagers in hard situation. That's why I like the story most.

Best scene in story: The group of four Navy soldiers captured some of the villagers and released them without causing any harm. But one of the villagers informed to Taliban about them. The kindness of the soldiers attracted me most.

Opinion about the main character: The main character Mark Wahlberg as Marcus Luttrell was well trained and can survive in any hard situation, yet he is kind enough to release his enemy without causing any harm. I like his character for these reasons.
