Based on the 2002 novel of the same name The Lovely Bones is the story of a Pennsylvania family - the Salmons - who try to bring the killer of their daughter/ sister Suzie (Saoirse Ronan) to justice. They, including the father Jack (played by Mark Wahlberg), sister Lyndsey (Rose McIver) and the local detective Len Fenerman (Michael Imperioli) all believe that the Salmons neighbor George Harvey (Stanley Tucci) to be the culprit but do not have the evidence to prove so.

This movie tackles the standard "Who Did It?" plotline in a unique way by incorporating Suzie's existence in her afterlife. During this time period she uncovers evidence that could link Harvey to her murder as well as some of his other victims. All the while she witnesses how her death is affecting her family, and how and what they do to get overcome this tragedy.
Best part of story, including ending:
I liked the seeing the story from Suzie's perspective in her afterlife.
Best scene in story:
The end where Harvey falls from a cliff after trying t lure another victim.
Opinion about the main character:
Nothing either way. Just a loyal father.
