Detailed plot synopsis reviews of Monsters University

This is the story of how Mike and Sully became best friends and the best scarer team in the Monster's world. The movie begins when Mike goes to a field trip to the Monster's factory which leaves him with the life long dream of becoming a scarer. It then cuts to Mike as a teen, leaving for Monster's University to study his dream. His roommate is Randy, who later becomes one of his co-workers in the Monster's Inc movie. In class Mike meets Sully, who is arrogant about his family's scarer fame. The two become rivals. Sully joins the cool frat on campus while Mike joins the loser one. Mike studies hard to become a scarer while Sully relies on his family name and natural talents however both eventually prove not good enough for the program and are kicked out. Sully gets kicks out of the cool frat. Mike then gets the idea to prove himself at the Scare Games and get back into the scaring program. Mike's nerd frat is unable to join because they are too small and they eventually add Sully to the team. Sully however is convinced he can carry the team all by himself and is not a good team player. Sully and Mike manage to squeeze by and the team bonds closer until finally it is just their frat and the cool kids left. In the final round Sully manipulates the equipment so that Mike gets a high score and their team wins. Sully eventually confesses to his cheating while Mike breaks into the human world to prove himself. Sully goes to the human world to get him and they both end up trapped there when the dean deactivates the door back to the monster world. Sully and Mike end up creating enough scream power to turn the door back on from the other side and return to the monster world. While they manage to impress the dean with this act, they are still expelled from the university but now as best friends. The movie ends with a series of pictures showing how Mike and Sully work their way up to finally become part of the scarer team.

Best part of story, including ending: I really liked the way they made this movie feel independent of the Monster's Inc movie instead of just riding on it's coattails. I also loved how all of the characters (no matter how minor) of Monster's Inc were giving origin stories in this movie.

Best scene in story: My favorite scene is when the little slug monster says he needs to hurry to get to class and starts trying to race away but is only actually moving at an incredibly small pace no matter how much effort he puts in.

Opinion about the main character: I disliked how arrogant Sully was and how he didn't have faith in his team.

A six year old monster named Michael Wazowski visits Monsters Inc during a field trip, a company known to enter the human world to scare children in their sleep. During his visit the classmates meet an employer named Frank McCay. Mike being enchanted by being a scarer slips through Frank's door before anyone can stop him from getting caught. He observes Frank's scare performance then follows him back into the the monster world. Frank was impressed with his ability to have gone unnoticed for that long and offers Mike a Monsters University cap to keep as a souvenir. Mike had dreamed of becoming a scarer when he grows up and eleven years later he is a majoring as a scarer at Monsters Univerity.
Best part of story, including ending: What I liked about Monsters University is it's great animation and cute story line however it was nothing in comparison to the first sequel Monsters,Inc.

Best scene in story: My favorite scene would be when the monsters get caught and Art says," I cant go back to jail" and runs off.

Opinion about the main character: What I didn't like about the main character is how be believes children are toxic and have a poisonous touch. His character comes of a bit too confident and proud at times.
