Sarah, one of the most efficient FBI Agents around, is strongly disliked due to her haughty attitude. She is sent from New York to Boston to hunt down a drug lord, and if she proves she can play well with others, she can be in charge of the New York office upon her return. However, Sarah is forced to work with Shannon, the most profane and unorthodox police officer alive. Sarah would rather not work with Shannon, but no other officer has her connections and knowledge of the underworld in Boston, thus they are forced to try to mesh together. Almost immediately upon trying to gather evidence, they are cut off by the DEA, who insist they are close to an arrest, and FBI interference will likely spook the gang into hiding and ruin their progress. Yet when they find out Shannon's brother is working for the drug lord, they try to track him down for information. Sarah discovers Shannon's family still strongly dislikes Shannon for arresting her brother back in the day, but her brother does give her the tips that she needs to find evidence. They head to a factory where they witness one of the kingpin's flunkies murdering someone, and take him into custody, yet he refuses to talk. When Sarah and Shannon find the next day that this flunky has escaped incarceration and planning to do ill to Shannon's family, it's up to the pair to find a way to work together and bring down this gang once and for all.
