Detailed plot synopsis reviews of Spring Breakers

Four friends are bored to tears at their local college: Faith, Candy, Brittany, and Cotty. Faith spends much of her time at church, while the other three spend most of their time getting drunk and high. They are sick and tired of living the boring smalltown life, and they want to make something of themselves by going to south Florida and attending spring break. Since they can't go due to a lack of funds, Brittany and Candy rob a local chicken shack while Cotty drives. Once they have cash in hand, they pick up Faith and head down to St. Petersburg, where they proceed take part in hedonistic behavior with total abandon. Faith lies to her family, saying she's going as part of a spiritual church group trip. However, after all four end up in a holding cell at the end of a particularly outrageous party, they find themselves getting bailed out by Alien, a local rap star and drug dealer. Alien wants them to spend time and party with him, and Faith is immediately put off by this, requesting to the girls that they go home with her. Faith hops on the next bus home, but Brittany, Candy, and Cotty stay, entranced by Alien's luxurious lifestyle. A local gangster warns Alien to stay off his turf, but Alien and the girls proceed to rob plenty of tourists and make loads of cash. When Cotty is shot in a drive-by by the local gangster's posse, Alien vows revenge, but Cotty goes home, leaving just Brittany and Candy to decide whether they should stay caught up in the spring break lifestyle or go back home to their boring lives.

Best part of story, including ending: It's a brilliant portrayal of the American Dream, full of seductive yet horrifying party sequences and some of the most fascinating and hilarious characters you'll see in a film lately.

Best scene in story: Alien invites the girls to look at everything he has in his mansion. He goes through everything in his possession in checklist form, to hilarious effect.

Opinion about the main character: Faith is the moral compass of the film, and most fascinating of all is her disappearance from the rest of the plot with a good forty minutes left in the film. Gomez does a great job as the most doe-eyed of the girls.
