Detailed plot synopsis reviews of Bullet to the Head

A corrupt cop and his prostitute are interrupted one evening by Bobo, a hitman, and his partner and best friend Lewis. They kill the cop, but Bobo decides to let the prostitute live. Later that night, a contract killer named Keegan murders Lewis and tries to kill Bobo, who escapes. An internal affairs detective from DC, Taylor Kwon, comes in to investigate the corrupt cop's murder. He finds out Bobo killed the cop, but he has no idea why. Meanwhile, Keegan finds out from his employer, a businessman named Morel, that the corrupt cop had a file detailing his illegal activities that he needs to get back. When Kwon is attacked by Morel's henchmen, Bobo decides they can work together, despite detesting one another. Bobo's daughter, Lisa, helps repair Kwon's wounds from his attack, while Bobo hunts down people he knows with information. Eventually, Bobo and Kwon find their way to Morel's lawyer, who gives them all the information on Morel, including his evil scheme to buy housing complexes in New Orleans ravaged by crime, demolish them, and then build fancy offices for a slick profit. When Keegan catches up with Bobo, Bobo kills most of Keegan's men, snapping something inside of Keegan, who now is obsessed with killing Bobo. It's up to Bobo and Kwon to find Morel and kill him before Keegan or Morel's underlings can find them first.

Best part of story, including ending: It's a pretty rote story, but Stallone and Kang have some good buddy cop chemistry, and Jason Momoa is stellar as the psychotic Keegan.

Best scene in story: At the end, when Bobo and Keegan show down, they each wield axes and attack each other in a free-wheeling axe duel, which is as enjoyable as it sounds.

Opinion about the main character: Bobo is bent on bringing down anyone who helped kill his partner, and his loyalty to his best friend is an admirable and sympathetic trait, despite his own blood-soaked occupation.
