Detailed plot synopsis reviews of Madea's Witness Protection

George is an honest if dorky accountant who is given terrible news at the office one day. It turns out his company is a Ponzi scheme with hard ties to the Mafia, and with George's name signed on all the books, he is destined to go to jail for a very long time, if not killed by the Mafia first to keep him quiet. He's willing to participate in a government investigation, but unfortunately, with the Mafia on his tail, he and his family must go into the witness protection where no one will find them. One of the lawyers involved knows where they can go: to stay in Georgia with Madea, a sassy old woman, and her elderly brother, Joe. In Madea's hometown, unbeknownst to anyone, a young pastor's son named Jake invested all of the local church's money into George's company, and all of it has been stolen as a result of the Ponzi scheme. George and his family are unfamiliar and uncomfortable with black people, so several awkward interactions occur, especially involving George's mother, who thinks Joe is a black man she slept with many years beforehand. George, while watching Ghost one night, is inspired to come up with a plan to give the stolen money back to the victims, including the local church, by having Madea go to New York and redistribute some of the account's funds. However, with the Mafia looking for George, and with the church's future at stake, everything counts on Madea's abilities to hold it together and fool these bankers.

Best part of story, including ending: Madea is always a fun character to watch, and pairing her with an old seasoned comedy pro like Eugene Levy makes for an amusing pair to watch crack wise with one another.

Best scene in story: George accompanies Madea up to New York to execute their plan, and he disguises himself (poorly) as a Frenchman, leading to some very funny lines uttered in a very poor French accent.

Opinion about the main character: George is a likable dork, who means extremely well and got caught up in a world in which he didn't belong. Dorky characters are always charming, especially when played by Eugene Levy.
