Detailed plot synopsis reviews of Machete

Machete is a Mexican federale on a rescue mission with his partner. However, the mission turns out to be a double cross when his partner is killed and the vicious drug lord, Torrez, kills Machete's wife and family, leaving him for dead in the process. Years later, Machete is living as an illegal immigrant in Texas, working on yards to get by. A businessman, Booth, offers Machete a great deal of money to kill a corrupt anti-immigrant congressman named McLaughlin, and Machete reluctantly accepts at gunpoint. However, Machete is set up and shot; the whole thing was meant to rally support for McLaughlin, who could point to his potential assassin as a prime example of the dangers of immigrants. Machete escapes from the hospital where he is sent afterward, and he encounters two women who help him exact his revenge: the immigration officer Santana and the leader of a pro-immigrant revolution named Shé. With Santana and Shé's help, Machete kidnaps Booth's wife and daughter, and he finds out that not only was Booth working for McLaughlin, he is also working hand in hard with Torrez, the man who ruined Machete's life. Booth kills Machete's brother, yet when Booth, unaware he was being taped, confesses to McLaughlin's faked assassination, McLaughlin and Torrez team up to attack Machete and Shé's gang of revolutionaries in one final battle to the death.

Best part of story, including ending: It's a hilarious action movie, with an unlikely hero and plenty of incredible gore and violence. Fans of the genre, myself included, will be overjoyed.

Best scene in story: The final battle between Machete's gang and Torrez's gang is wildly over-the-top, full of catchphrases, explosions, and one-liners-- every action lover's fantasy.

Opinion about the main character: Machete is a rugged and super-cool action hero-- he may not have a great deal of human character, but everything about him oozes cool, and he's impossible to hate.
