The Songbird is a bounty hunter who is hunting a pirate/criminal known as Santiago. He goes from contact to contact trying to find information leading to Santiago, and meets a lot of colorful characters including the Swagman, a thief, Virtue MacKenzie, a journalist with no ethics, and other competing bounty hunters and well as other petty criminals and thieves. But when he finally finds Santiago, he realizes that Santiago is actually a good person and he fights to defend him from a particularly sinister bounty hunter named the Angel.
