Detailed plot synopsis reviews of Zookeeper

Griffin is a humble zookeeper who proposes to his beautiful girlfriend Stephanie on the beach... but Stephanie rejects him. She claims that she doesn't want to be married to a guy who's no more in his career than a lowly zookeeper. A few years later, Griffin is the head zookeeper at his zoo. His brother offers him a job selling cars at his dealership, as he thinks this may be the best way to get Stephanie back. The animals overhear Griffin contemplating this, and they conspire together to find a way to make him look impressive in front of Stephanie. They set the lions loose in front of Stephanie, in hopes that Griffin will look heroic, but when Griffin falls over, they are crestfallen. They decide to break their vow of silence in front of humans, and they confront Griffin, telling him they can teach him proper mating habits. After initial shock and disbelief, Griffin decides to go along with the plan. Griffin start implementing some of these strategies (showing his teeth, public urination to mark territory, etc), but none of them work; in fact, Stephanie starts seeing her ex-boyfriend, an evil jock named Gale. In the meantime, Griffin grows close to a fellow zookeeper, the lovely and sweet Kate. Griffin continues to fight to win Stephanie's heart, but when that begins to change who he is and alienates Kate, he realizes that he's chasing the wrong woman and must find Kate before she leaves the zoo and the city for good.

Best part of story, including ending: It's a sweet story of a guy who struggles with romance trying whatever it takes. Plus, the voice work for the talking animals are all great choices.

Best scene in story: Griffin goes out in public with Bernie, a gorilla with a mistrust of humans, and they bond at a Chili's. It's a hilarious and a touching moment.

Opinion about the main character: Kevin James is an immensely likable actor, and for him to play Griffin elevates the entire movie around him. He also shares great chemistry with Rosario Dawson.
