Nate gets antiquated with two Texas Rangers who are are the trail of murderer. Nate will get to know these two rangers rather well as they pursue the hunted criminal. Along the way the story twist where we are introduced to a young women Lucinda who just escape the life as a prostitute. She will inevitably meet and and start courting none other than the killer whom the rangers are in hot pursuit to find. Slowly Lucinda will discover what she has done, but her heart is open for love and this could lead to grave circumstance for her.
Much of the books focus is around Nate, the other two rangers and Lucinda. The book often goes back and forth between these characters.
Eventually all will come to climax as the rangers close in of the wanted man. The author keeps the reader on his toes due to twist and turn of events. Many question will engage the readers mind as he near the end of this book. What will Lucinda fate be? Will she and her outlaw boyfriend escape? Certainly an unpredictable book and one that is hard to put down.
Best part of story, including ending:
I love how the author describes the background, the landscape the way it was in the Wild West.
Best scene in story:
The end of the book when the rangers are near capturing the wanted outlaw. This is the time we will see if Lucinda really has fallen in love, or if she can let go of her heart.
Opinion about the main character:
I like that Nate is a simple man just trying to support his family and be to an upright man.
