One day, between the arrivals of Frankenstein, the Mummy and a family of werewolves, a young hiker named Johnny stumbles upon the castle.
Fearing that all the guests will leave, Dracula presents Johnny as Johnnystein, the party planner. He quickly becomes a crowd favorite and meets Mavis. The two immediately like each other, but don't express their feelings.
During the party that night, Mavis and Johnny share a kiss. When Dracula sees them he becomes angry and, in the resulting argument, it comes out that Dracula staged his daughter's frightening visit to the village and that Johnny is human. Even though Mavis' feelings for Johnny haven't changed, he decides to leave at Dracula's request.
Seeing his daughter's sadness, Dracula realizes his mistake and ventures into the human world to find Johnny and bring him back. He catches up to him and apologizes. Johnny and Mavis are reunited, and the Hotel's guests accept the human as their friend.
Best part of story, including ending: The visual gags involving monsters like Frankenstein, the Invisible Man and others are quite funny, but the story doesn't live up to the wealth of material available.

Best scene in story: The pool scene at the Hotel, again for the visual comedy.

Opinion about the main character: You need to be pretty easy going not to get too freaked out by a bunch of monsters, even in cute animated form, so good for him.
