Matt is a talented actor, but these days he's been working extra hard to get parts. When he visits his young daughter Jeannie, he is saddled with the responsibility of temporarily taking her in. Jeannie is precocious, temperamental, but as it turns out, is really talented like her dad. While trying for a part, Matt suddenly finds out that his daughter is cast in a sitcom. Matt on the other hand is still going from one audition to another, so he takes a job driving for a tough and insensitive producer Burke Adler. As the father and daughter try to work out their tricky situation, they start to develop a loving relationship. Also, Matt starts to see Adler's assistant, Cathy. One day, Matt gets a big break and is called in for a major part, but things don't pan out when Cathy doesn't lobby for Matt to get the part. So goes the story of a working actor in Hollywood. Matt does not get his superstar moment, but he gains the love and respect of his 8-year old daughter.

It's about a cute dad and daughter dynamic, plus it is also a satire about Hollywood.

When Jeannie would go into her "moods" and would start acting.
