Detailed plot synopsis reviews of Centurion

Centurion Quintas Dias is in Britain, during the Roman stronghold over the country. His legion is trying to conquer the savage Picts in Scotland, but his legion is killed, and he is the only survivor. Meanwhile, another legion is dispatched to take care of the situation, led by General Virilus, who has been assigned a mute tribal warrior Etain as a scout. The legion find Dias who is on the run, but they encounter the Picts again, since Etain is really a Pict cohort. Dias and six others are able to escape, but the Pict leader has captured Virilus. In a rescue attempt, they fail to secure Virilus, but one of them kills the Pict leader's son. The next day, the Pict leader brutally kills Virilus, and leads a manhunt for the rest of the Roman soldiers. Dias and some have found refuge with a lone girl Arianne in the woods, and when the Picts search the house, they hide under the floor. On the move again, they reach an empty Roman fort, and prepare for the Picts arrival. During the invasion, Dias kills Etain. With the remaining survivors, Dias reports back to the Roman superiors, but to avoid shame in the loss and Virilus' death, they are ordered for execution. Dias runs away again, and returns to Arianne for solace.

Best part of story, including ending: It's a story of a soldier's honor, but he is sadly betrayed because of bad politics.

Best scene in story: When Dias and Etain fight in an epic battle.

Opinion about the main character: Dias is a hero, but is treated like an outcast when he rejoins the troops.
