He is plagued by visions of this beak nosed green eyed mask.
Sienna finds a canister which is a biotube in Robert's coat pocket. Activated by Robert's thumb the canister projects a horrifying picture of a under ground cave that has a plastic bag bolted to the floor underwater. It seems to contain some kind of a viscous liquid, probably virus to trigger an epidemic.

Robert finds links to Dante's Divine Comedy in all the messages projected by the canister and uses his knowledge of symbology to reach Venice where he believes he will find the cave.

The bag of virus has been planted by Bertrand Zobrist a brilliant biochemist and a Dante fanatic who was extremely concerned about population explosion and its effect on Earth.

Chased by the US police, the WHO, Robert finally realizes that the bag is not in Venice but in Turkey and that Sienna is also a part of the conspiracy.

He locates the exact place where the bag was bolted but by then the plastic of the bag had already dissolved and the virus had been released. Thankfully it was not a disease carrying virus but a population controlling one.
Best part of story, including ending: The book was a racy, page turner and thoroughly enjoyable.

Best scene in story: The part where Robert finally locates the dissolved plastic bag was nailbiting.

Opinion about the main character: Robert Langdon is a very inspiring character. I like his intelligence.

Another Robert Langdon Story, this time He wakes up on a hospital bed with no memory of the last few weeks and he doesn't even know why he is in Florence.
A doctor is talking to him and telling him about a gunshot wound, suddenly Vayentha, an assassin comes and shoots the doctor in charge, going to Robert's room, but Sienna Brooks, another doctor, grabs him and they go to her apartment.
Robert finds a cylinder in his jacket, calls the consulate, gives an address to them which is not the apartment so the doctor wouldn't get involved.

In a few minutes armed Vayentha comes, so they will be sure that It's consulate who wants him dead. Him and Sienna finds that the Cylinder is somehow related to Dante, so they go to Old City to find more details.
He then goes to a museum to see Dante's death mask, the director of the museum wants to show it to him, but the mask is gone, she looks at the tapes and
Sees Robert and Ignazio steal it, calls Ignazio's office but he's not alive but she gave a message from him to Robert, then she turns to Robert and Sienna but they figure out a way to escape.

Knowing the message, Robert finds a relation between the death mask and Zobrist, who is a scientist obsessed with Dante's Inferno.
They realize that Sienna wasn't who Robert thought she was, then he figures out a way to relate Zobrist and Istanbul.

Best part of story, including ending: A lot of historical puzzles, European history is nice

Best scene in story: Sienna gone rogue, then Consortium found out that she was in love with Zobrist.

Opinion about the main character: He doesn't really listen to other people.
