Amy, the main character, is a lawyer who meets her husband, Leo, at the law firm. She quits her job in order to have her son, Mason. Her best friend is Jill, but she soon meets another mother from Mason's school, Penny. Amy finds out that Penny is having an affair and gets wrapped up in it, until the affair ends when the man that Penny is having an affair becomes paralyzed in a paragliding accident.
Because of Amy's close friendship with Penny, Jill becomes jealous, and wants Amy back as her best friend. In addition to this, Jill is dealing with the fact that her adopted daughter, Nadia, seems to be a bit slow. When Penny stops having an affair, her friendship with Amy fizzles, and Amy is restored to Jill as her best friend.
Best part of story, including ending:
I liked the portrayal of female friendship.
Best scene in story:
My favorite scene was the paragliding accident because the plot, metaphorically and literally, all came crashing down.
Opinion about the main character:
I liked Amy's sensitivity to her friends.
