Detailed plot synopsis reviews of Wall-E

In the distant future, a massive corporation called Buy N Large became such a dominant force in society that it took over the entire globe. As a result of constant production and purchase of Buy N Large products, the world became stuffed to the brim with garbage, killing the planet's ability to renew natural resources. Buy N Large creates a series of WALL-E robots to clean up all of the trash on Earth, along with a giant spaceship to keep human beings safe and happy in space until the planet is able to sustain plant and animal life once more. However, after centuries, the corporation ditches the plan and shuts down all of the robots. One robot, however, develops sentience and continues cleaning the planet, one day at a time. WALL-E, the name he knows for himself, finds a small plant growing in a shoe and saves it, as it's something he's never seen before. Some time later, a giant ship lands on Earth and dispatches a small flying robot, who goes around scanning the planet. WALL-E, struck with curiosity, hunts down the robot and meets her, a sleek female robot named EVE; WALL-E falls madly in love with her. However, when he shows EVE the plant, it activates a program within EVE-- she grabs the plant, goes into a trance, and is summoned back into her ship. WALL-E, not ready to see EVE leave his life, hitches a ride on EVE's ship and heads up into space, where he sees humanity's remaining population on the Buy N Large space ship. Once he realizes that the robots on the spaceship aim to destroy the plant and hide Earth's ability to be repopulated, WALL-E must fight back against the ship's robots, save the plant, and save EVE.

Best part of story, including ending: It's one of the most ingenious science fiction films in decades, with a beautifully realized world, simple and lovable characters, and gorgeous animation.

Best scene in story: WALL-E gets lost in space with a fire extinguisher, and he does a magical little dance with EVE using the extinguisher to propel him around. It's the perfect embodiment of robot romance.

Opinion about the main character: WALL-E is the quintessential hero. He's simple-minded, endlessly curious, incredibly brave, and helplessly in love. He's as likable as it gets.
