Detailed plot synopsis reviews of Yogi Bear

The classic animation cartoon is brought to life in the film adaptation. Yogi Bear (with the voice of Dan Aykrpyd) and his side-kick Boo Boo (with the voice of Justin Timberlake) are up to their normal routine of robbing picnic baskets in Jellystone Park much to the frustration of the Park Ranger (played by T.J. Miller) who must explain everything to his boss Ranger Smith (played by Tom Cavanagh). Anna Farris plays Rachel who is a videographer wanting to document the bear's activities.

Jellystone Park in this movie is in the middle of a city. The city's mayor wants to get rid of it and sell the land to developers because then he can make a profit instead of having the park drain all the city's resources. There is only one way for the park to pay for itself. That is by attracting enough paid visitors so the park operations are profitable. Yogi and Boo Boo plan a massive fireworks display in celebration of the park's 100th anniversary. Plenty of people come to the one night event. Because they mess up the fireworks show, not enough of them buy season tickets in the amount required that would make the park sustainable.

Yogi and Boo Boo have to face the harsh consequences that the park will be closed and they will have to forage in the wild for food just like regular bears. When it all seems hopeless, Rachel and the others notice that Yogi has a pet turtle that is an endangered, protected, species. Rachel , the rangers, Yogi and Boo Boo, all gather together to inform the media of the rare turtle so that they can save the park from destruction.
Best part of story, including ending: This modern adaption of the vintage animation of Yogi Bear is very nostalgic for those that remember the cartoons from their childhood.

Best scene in story: The best scene is when they realize that Yogi's pet turtle is the way to save the park because this is so unexpected.

Opinion about the main character: What's not to like about Yogi? He simply wants the easy life of being able to rob picnic baskets and not have to do much to get tasty things to eat.
