Actors: Paul Rudd, Seann William Scott, Elizabeth Banks, Christopher Mintz-Plasse

Detailed plot synopsis reviews of Role Models

Danny and Wheeler are not what you would call role models. They sell energy drinks in schools and ride around in a truck with bull horns. Wheeler loves the job, but Danny hates it, which makes him depressive and even his girlfriend Beth breaks up with him. To top it all off, the two cause an accident at a school with their truck. They have to do community service in a child mentoring program, Sturdy Wings, or get sent to jail.

Danny is paired up with the geeky Augie, who likes acting out medieval fantasy games. Wheeler is stuck with a young kid named Ronnie whose passions are causing havoc and looking at breasts. At first the two guys get nowhere with the kids and even contemplate jail. Slowly they find some common ground. Wheeler teaches Ronnie not to stare at women's bosoms. Dannie and Augie are similarly pessimistic and hate the Sturdy Wings program.

When Danny gets involved in Augie's game and mistakenly gets him banned, their friendship falls apart. In the meantime, Wheeler leaves Ronnie alone at a party and his parents find out. Danny and Wheeler get pulled out of the program and are set a court date to apply a new punishment.

Feeling guilty, Danny arranges for Augie to be allowed back into the fantasy game and helps him sneak out so they can join. Together with Wheeler and Ronnie they form a new team and Augie strikes the winning blow in the battle. Danny and Beth get back together. Recognizing their efforts, Wheeler and Danny's charges are dropped.
Best part of story, including ending: The over the top tone of the movie serves the story well, and while there's not much at stake for the adults, the kids really get something out of it.

Best scene in story: The Ronnie vs. Danny scenes are the best. Bobb'e J. Thompson, who plays Ronnie, is great and steals the scenes he's in.

Opinion about the main character: It's pretty much Paul Rudd playing the Paul Rudd persona and the same goes for Sean William Scott. The interactions between them and Ronnie and Augie are pretty funny.
