A Prince to Be Feared: The Love Story of Vlad Dracula Book Summary and Study Guide

Detailed plot synopsis reviews of A Prince to Be Feared: The Love Story of Vlad Dracula

The story focuses on two characters, Vlad Dracula and a woman who he has grown up with, and who he loves. The woman feels the same way for him, but families and empires get in the way of their destiny together. They lose track of each other during Eastern European conflicts, and historical details are obeyed. This book romanticizes Vlad Dracula and creates a human side of a man remembered for some horrible things.

In this love story, Vlad Dracula is made human and relatable. We learn of his brilliance and acumen, and how history can always be rewritten by the victor of a war.
Best part of story, including ending: I liked that the love story seemed real, I even shed a tear or two.

Best scene in story: I love where the woman is finally able to break out of prison to see Vlad.

Opinion about the main character: Vlad is arrogant, but a truly magnificent character.
