Cas Lowood, like his father, is ghost hunter who tracks and kills dangerous ghosts. His newest mission is to kill the ghost called Anna, who rips apart anyone who dares to enter her home. When his new friends at high school foolishly go inside Anna's house on a dare, Anna unleashes violence on them. Cas, trying to save his friends, enters Anna's house, but is shocked when Anna doesn't lay a finger on him. Becoming increasingly intrigued by Anna, he investigates and finds that she was brutally killed and cursed as a vengeful ghost. He tries to find a way to unbind Anna's ghost from the evil curse, but Cas himself is in danger, as the deadly ghost that murdered his father is now looking to murder him too.

Best part of story, including ending:
The book is not entirely a horror book, but it is soaked in gothic elements, which makes reading it a chilling experience. It is a unique book in the YA genre.
Best scene in story:
My favorite scene is when Anna and Cas meet for the first time. It is scary and strangely romantic at the same time.
Opinion about the main character:
Cas can be a bit arrogant at times, but after he meets Anna, we start to see the humble Cas too. He is realistic and well fleshed out.
