Detailed plot synopsis reviews of Step Up 3D

This is a dance movie about two rival gangs: the House of Samurai and the House of Pirates. Moose (played by Adam G. Sevani) has given up dance to study to be an engineer at New York University in order to please his parents. In the streets, he runs into Kid Darkness (played by Daniel ‘Cloud' Campos) one of the House of Samurai dance crew. Moose dance battles with Kid Darkness and wins. Luke (played by Rick Malambri) watches this. Afterwards he invites Moose to join his dance crew called the House of Pirates. Moose is supposed to be concentrating on his studies, so he has to keep his dancing with the team as a secret. The House of Pirates dance team all live together in a place they named the vault which is a warehouse above a dance club. Luke owes a lot of money for the vault in past due payments. He worries that they will lose the place to the bank unless he comes up with some money to save it. They plan to enter the World Jam contest for the $100,000 prize. In order to win the competition, they must defeat their rivals, the House of Samurai.

Luke falls for a woman he sees at the club named Natalie (played by Sharni Vinson). He wants her to become part of his dance crew and become his girlfriend. He does not know that her brother is his arch enemy Julien (played by Joe Slaughter) the leader of the House of Samurai dance crew. Natalie and Luke get more and more intimate. It becomes clear that Natalie has to make a choice. Natalie asks Luke why he is enemies with Julien. Luke tells her Julien rigged a bet and lost a dance contest on purpose when he used to be a member of the House of Pirates, so that is why they threw him out. The bank forecloses on the vault, locking them all out of the space. Julien is trying to buy the warehouse from the bank. He tells Luke if they lose the World Jam on purpose, they can get the vault back. But Luke refuses to do that.

Moose has a friend named Camille (played by Alyson Stoner). Camille is in love with Moose but he does not notice this. He thinks they are just friends. Moose helps get the House of Pirates crew back together just in time for the competition.   They win because Natalie dances with Luke for the House of Pirates. Then Luke passes the leadership of the crew to Moose because he goes with Natalie to California. Moose realizes he loves Camille as much as he loves dancing.
Best part of story, including ending: The music and the dance routines are very good in this movie.

Best scene in story: The best scene is when Natalie helps Luke win the dance contest in spite of the attempted interference of her brother. Natalie makes the right choice.

Opinion about the main character: Luke learns it is not so easy to give up something that he really loves to do, which is dancing. Camille convinces him with her love to follow his heart, and this is very romantic.
