This is the story of two couples who survived the boxing day tsunami that claimed thousands of lives. The first couple, Dan and Sally got married after that and was blessed with a baby boy while the second, Chloe and Paul broke up three weeks later. Dan is a stay at home father and takes care of their son Marcus while Sally, her wife is a law practitioner and the source of livelihood for the family. These two have domestic issues since Dan feels his wife Sally is addicted to her job to the extent that she has no time for the family. Sally on the other hand suspects Dan of having an affair with the outgoing and free-spirited Tatiana who lives in their neighborhood. Dan has been pressurizing Sally to have a second baby while Sally feels she has not been a successful mother to Marcus and believes a second baby will bring more problems.

Chloe admires Sally and believes she has everything life can offer to a woman; a loving husband, an adorable son and a good career. For her (Chloe) she has been trying to find a suitable father for a child she really craves but her search has been full of disappointments. First, it was Paul who broke up with her 3 weeks after the Tsunami and left her in a desolate state with plasters all over her body. Then came Seth who was keeping a secret from her, that he was a vicar.
Best part of story, including ending:
I like the story because it brings out the little things in life that cause people and families so much pain such as deception, misunderstanding and lack of balance between work and social life.
Best scene in story:
My favorite scene is that of Dan taking care of Marcus because it brings out a rare character in a man. Few men would be in a position to hold the family together the way Dan struggled to.
Opinion about the main character:
Sally is unable to balance her work with family life and she ends up feeling inadequate as a mother. She also fails in her role as a wife by neglecting her husband.
