Denis is a geek who at his graduation speech gathers the courage to confess his love to Beth Cooper, the popular cheerleader. Beth amused by Denis' audacity agrees to go to Denis' houseparty with her two girlfriends. The party is crashed by Beth's rambunctious older boyfriend and his posse. So Denis, his bestfriend Rich, and the three girls dash out of the house and escape in a car. Denis cannot believe his luck, since he gets to hang out with Beth while they have a crazy night together. At a party, Beth's angry boyfriend shows up again ready to beat up Denis, the group escapes, this time to the highschool, where they all take a shower together and have fun in the gym. They then go to a lakeside cabin where they spend the night. Denis and Beth have a heart-to-heart, Denis finding out that Beth is more than a pretty face, and Beth, feeling endeared to Denis for loving her. They kiss. The morning after, they all go home, having spent the craziest night of their highschool life.

Best part of story, including ending: It's a heartfelt story of the geek getting the girl of his dreams.

Best scene in story: When Denis and Beth are talking by the lake, sharing an intimate conversation.

Opinion about the main character: I like that they portrayed Denis as a geek with guts who took a risk so he won't have any regrets.
