Venus from the Nappy series has matured and is a lot more confident than in previous books. She and her husband (Jake) are doing great as a family. She still has her natural hair and has recently given birth to twins (1 boy, 1 girl). As we catch up with her, there is a camera crew following her family for a reality show. (her husband used to be a rapper). As people find out about the show, they try to get in where they fit in and get a little fame by proxy. People like Jake's ex and former co-star start butting in to their lives. And his ex has a plan to win him back by putting Venus out of the picture. Venus is too caught up in her life to notice what's lurking around the corner. Plus, she has a new visitor in her life that is taking up all of her attention--someone that she never knew until recently and she is not sure if she can trust this person. Will this new stranger be a friend or foe?

Best part of story, including ending:
I like that Venus finally seems very happy with her life.
Best scene in story:
My favorite scene is when Venus's mother is in the kitchen telling her how to run her life. She is subtle and aggressive at the same time. I love it!
Opinion about the main character:
I liked that she was not some helpless damsel in distress. She was a lot more aware in this book. I also enjoyed her progression as a mother and wife.
