The Sweethearts' Knitting Club Book Summary and Study Guide

Detailed plot synopsis reviews of The Sweethearts' Knitting Club

An old mystery is dug up when the old bad boy rolls into down, bringing back his love at the same time for a girl who is about to get engaged. Flynn McGregor has always done she was told, except for that one time with Jesse Calloway back in high school. Now it is years later and Flynn has been dating the town's sheriff on and off for a few years. He has proposed many times, but Flynn never thought that it was the right time. Now he has proposed with an ultimatum, marry me or we are officially done. Just when Flynn decided to take the plunge, her old high school flame come back into town, Jesse Calloway. He has been in jail for years thanks to the father of Flynn's new fiancé. Now Flynn has a choice to make. Flynn tries to stay away from Jesse. She doesn't want to disappoint the man she is committed to. Meanwhile she is also trying to make her mother's dream of a knitting store come to life after her mother's death. She finds the perfect place, but it is right over Jesse's new motorcycle shop. Flynn find it difficult to avoid Jesse now that they are together more and more. She finally follows her heart and decides to leave her fiancé and be with Jesse. However it is never easy for them and there are new facts showing up surrounding Jesse's arrest in high school. He was arrested for having drugs and setting a fire. Now Jesse's shop gets set on fire. Also the old bridge (where Flynn and Jesse had their first kiss) is blown up. The knitting circle that Flynn belongs to (even though she can't knit) is given spiked lemonade a a knit-a-thon and Jesse is blamed. Flynn has to decide who to believe, Jesse, the man she loves, or the always kind sheriff who she was engaged to.

Best part of story, including ending: I like that there is a mystery surrounding the love story. Simple love stories are boring but this one because of the twists and turns surrounding Jesse's arrest.

Best scene in story: I love the scene where Jesse and Flynn finally get together because it was building throughout the story and I was rooting for them. I also like all of the detail that went into it.

Opinion about the main character: I like how loyal she is to her family. She is always supporting her dadand sister and even her mother even though she died.
