Detailed plot synopsis reviews of An Education

A London teen primed to go to Oxford gets another education when she meets an older man. Jenny is being groomed for Oxford University by her parents, but when she meets a dashing older man David, she is whisked into his exciting and reckless world. David is so charming, he is able to woo Jenny's parents into spending time with him, passing himself as an Oxford grad. With their approval, the two, along with David's posh friends Danny and Helen go dancing, drinking, gambling, and driving aimlessly to have fun. Jenny is distracted in school and soon skips classes to the dismay of her teacher who thinks she is throwing her life away. David takes Jenny on a trip to Paris, where it is assumed that she loses her virginity. David proposes marriage to Jenny, but she later learns that she has been betrayed by him, lying about having a wife and child. Jenny learns that she is not the first one to be seduced by him and comes to her senses and finishes her last year in school. She goes to Oxford University, as a more mature and less-gullible woman.

Best part of story, including ending: We've all been there, being a bit rebellious in high school and having some reckless fun.

Best scene in story: Her first encounter with David.

Opinion about the main character: I don't blame Jenny for experiencing the things she did, as a teenager she is open to commit some mistakes that sure enough she learns from.
