Kari was brought up in a violent home and she started prostituting at a very tender age. She was involved in many drug incidences and despite changing her life, her past still haunts her. This revelation hits hard on David and causes them to separate, but they still have cooperate in the search for their daughter.
This also leads David to believe that Kari has a hand in this kidnapping. She has a strong mother who has always stood up for her and is assisting in the search by approaching the hardcore criminals in the town to see if she can get any information. This search goes on for seven days and eventually the police realize that this kidnapping is related to many others that have happened in the past. There is a serial killer in town who believes that by killing innocent children he gets cleansed.
Best part of story, including ending:
I don't like the way Kari's past is catching up with her especially at such a time when she has to deal with her daughter's disappearance.
Best scene in story:
My favorite scene is when the family reunites at the end because it is a show of forgiveness
Opinion about the main character:
I like the fact that Kari is still determined to live right even when things are falling apart
