Noah Movie Review Summary

Actors: Russell Crowe, Jennifer Connelly, Logan Lerman, Emma Watson

Detailed plot synopsis reviews of Noah

At the beginning of the film, Noah's father died protecting the words of God. Later on, Noah is on a mission before the great flood begins to clean the Earth. He is chosen by the God to protect humanity from it. The people who killed his father are also after him. They really don't like the theme of God and any kind of prophecy. Noah stood against them with his army of animals and the power of God. Noah received a message from God through his dreams to create a huge boat which will carry all the animals in pair when the great flood will occur. His family remains with some good guys only. He fought against the bad guys with crows and animals at the end of the story. The flood occurred at last and all the evil washed away from Earth.

Best part of story, including ending: I always like religious movie. About Noah, the film really inspired me. The film managed to present the story of Noah pretty well.

Best scene in story: When Noah replied against the enemy, 'Strength comes from the Creator.' It really thrilled me.

Opinion about the main character: The main character is filled with courage and sacrifice, which makes Noah an epic human being.

In Biblical times, a man named Noah is warned by the Creator about a pending flood that will kill all mankind, and he is tasked to build an ark to preserve future generations of animal life. The first man to ever exist on Earth, Adam, gave birth to three sons: Cain, Abel, and Seth. Cain killed Abel and began to pillage the Earth for all of its resources, while Seth remained loyal to the deity that created them all. Generations later, Noah, a descendant of Seth, watches as the army of men descended from Cain capture and murder his father before his eyes. Years after that, Noah scavenges and lives a low-key life off the land with his wife, Naameh, and their three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth. They attempt to avoid being caught and killed by the descendants of Cain, and they end up under the care of the Watchers, fallen angels who now resemble monsters made of rock. When Noah has a dream about the world coming to an end due to a large flood, he is tasked by his deity, the Creator, to build an ark, and within, he can house a pair of every animal on Earth... but that mankind must be wiped out as punishment for destroying the planet's resources (according to this Hollywood film). The man who killed Noah's father, Tubal-Cain, hears about Noah's ark and he gathers plenty of followers with the intention of storming the ark when the time is right. Noah comes to realize in observing his children and the difficulty he has with them that the Creator means for all mankind to cease to exist-- including Noah's family. When the flood arrives and the ark houses Noah's family as the last group of humans to survive, Shem's wife reveals that she is pregnant. Noah reveals that if their child is a girl, he will slaughter it, leading to his family turning against him, wondering if they can ever trust their father again... and none of them know that Tubal-Cain has sneaked his way onto the ark. This is a very Hollywood slanted interpretation of this classic story.
Best part of story, including ending: It's a mixed bag, as some of the melodrama on the ark is overcooked and serves little purpose, but the world-building is terrific, as are individual sequences of director Darren Aronofsky's work.

Best scene in story: At one point, Noah tells his children about the creation of the universe in seven days. It is a wildly bold, visually oriented montage of images and sounds that is breathtaking to behold.

Opinion about the main character: Noah means well, but he certainly grows unlikable when he threatens to kill his child's baby girl. He wrestles with religion though, the same as many of us do.
