This is the story of young adults who cheat death and who think they got away with it; until death manages to catch up with them. Sam is one of the workers who are gathering for a company retreat with his friends Peter, Molly, Olivia, Candice, Nathan, Isaac and Dennis. They get on the bus on their way to the retreat and Sam has a premonition that the bridge that they are about to head up on will collapse, killing all of them except Molly - Sam's girlfriend. He convinces his friends to get off the bus but the bus driver keeps driving and the bridge does collapse, killing his coworkers. Sam and his friends are traumatized and cannot believed they managed to cheat death. They all attend the funeral of their fellow coworkers and a man shows up to tell them death is now after them, which warning they ignore. Candice then dies the next day at a gymnastics practice, Isaac dies while getting acupuncture, Olivia dies while getting eye surgery. They start to realize that death really is after them and that there is no way out. Then comes Nathan's turn who manages to avoid being killed on a construction site when his friend Roy gets killed instead, then Dennis gets killed by a wrench. Peter starts to lose it and is willing to do whatever it takes to keep on living. He shows up at Sam's restaurant where Sam is with Molly and tries to kill them, but he dies after getting shot. Sam and Molly are then on a plane to Paris and a guy starts screaming, saying he just had a premonition the plane is going to explode. Sam and Molly are seriously worried but the plane takes off; the plane then explodes and they both die. As it turns out, the guy on the plane who kept screaming is from the very first Final Destination movies. Nathan is the last one who is still alive and thinks he managed to cheat death, until the plane who just exploded crashes into the bar where he is having a drink, killing him.

Best part of story, including ending:
I really liked this movie, it is a sequel to four previous Final Destination movies and I knew I would be entertained - and I was.
Best scene in story:
At the end when Sam and Molly are on a plane on their way to Paris and a guy starts screaming - telling everyone the plane is going to explode. I could not believe Final Destination 5 was not a sequel but actually the prequel to Final Destination 1.
Opinion about the main character:
He fights as hard as he can to keep his friends alive.
