Detailed plot synopsis reviews of Scream 4

Sydney is in town for a book tour, ten years after leaving Woodsboro and numerous murders of friends and family members she had had to face - and escaping the Ghostface individuals who have repeatedly tried to kill her. What Sydney doesn't know is that her return is also spurring the return of Ghostface. Sydney thinks her past is definitely behind her and meets with old friends such as Gale, the reporter turned writer; and Dewey, the Deputy Sheriff - who are now a married couple and who both survived numerous attacks by the Ghostface individuals. She also meets with her aunt Kate and cousin Jill.

The movie starts with two high school students, Jennie and Marnie, who are watching a movie wherein a killer is stabbing his victims to death. Jenny wants to prank Marnie by being dressed up as the Ghostface but the real Ghostface then shows up and kills Marnie first, then Jenny. Dewey meets with Sydney and tells her phone calls made the night of the murder can be traced back to a cell phone in her car which is covered in blood, and she becomes a suspect. Sydney is staying with her aunt and cousin, and Dewey has decided to direct police officers to keep an eye on Sydney. Ghostface kills people including Sydney's publicist. Dewey holds a press conference to discuss the murder and Gale shows up to tell him that the murders are resembling the murders 10 years prior and a few minutes into the conference, the body of Sydney's publicist falls down on the reporter's truck. They all team up and decide to find who the killer is. Gale goes to the high school with Sydney to interrogate some students with respect to a party that is about to take place, where they believe Ghostface is going to be. Jill asks Sydney how she is managing her fame since all the deaths and wonders how she would handle the situation, should she be in Sydney's place - Sydney tells her she hopes she will never have to find out. Ghostface attacks Gale at the party but she survives as Dewey finds her, but Ghostface also kills officers who had been on patrol at Sydney's home. Ghostface then kills her aunt, then chases Sydney to Kirby's place - her friend's cousin - where Jill and Kirby have friends over. Ghostface kills some of Jill's friends at the house. Charlie, one of the friends, then tries to kill Kirby and Sydney, who run for their lives. Turns out there are two Ghostface and one of them removes its mask: it is Jill and she had been wanting to kill Sydney to become famous and be the center of attention, as opposed to her cousin. Jill then kills Charlie, then another friend of hers, then Sydney. Jill arranges the house as though her boyfriend, who was at the house and who is now dead, had tried to kill her.

Jill is brought to the hospital and she learns that Sydney is still alive so she goes to her hospital room to finish her. Dewey and Gales tries to stop her until Sydney kills her cousin with a gun.
Best part of story, including ending: Interesting sequel, as the last movie had been 10 years prior. It is interesting to see what is going to happen to the characters, and what the storyline is going to be.

Best scene in story: When Sydney first reunites with Gale and Dewey at Sydney's book signing. It has been 10 years and I was looking forward to seeing how they would behave towards one another.

Opinion about the main character: Despite losing countless friends and family members, Sydney remains determined to catch the killer to put a stop to the murders of innocent people.
