A street dance group gets famous for creating flash mobs, and then takes on a developer to stop the decimation of a local neighborhood to put up a huge project. A dance group called The Mob shows up on the streets of Miami, blocking traffic and dancing on top of cars. They leave behind their logo painted on glass panels left behind in the center of the street. Their goal is to put a video on YouTube that gets 10 million hits so they will win a $100,000 prize.

The daughter of a wealthy real estate developer named Emily (played by Kathryn McCormick) does not want to follow her father Bill Anderson (played by Peter Gallagher) into business, instead she wants to be a dancer. Emily meets Sean (played by Sean Ryan Guzman) at the hotel bar. Right after they meet she runs off leaving him surprised. They see each other again the next day when Emily is having breakfast with her father. She pretends she does not know Sean. Emily's father gives her an ultimatum. If she is not a professional dancer by the end of summer, then he wants her to work with him. She applies for and is accepted as a trainee for the famous Winwood dance troupe. At the end of summer, the Winwood troupe will select only two of the trainees, one male, and one female to join the dance group.
Sean invites Emily to an art gallery where an impromptu performance of The Mob occurs. Emily wants to join The Mob. The next performance is at a restaurant, which makes The Mob more popular. Then they decide to make their performances stand for something as statement of protest. The Mob disrupts the City Council meeting where Anderson is trying to get his development plans approved. The members of The Mob find out that Emily is the daughter of the developer. The Mob stages another protest, this time using tear gas to disrupt the presentation of Anderson about his development plans. They all are arrested. Emily leaves The Mob. Sean and Emily break up. When Emily does her performance to get into the dance company without Sean, she has to perform the routine alone which looks bad and she fails to get in to the company.
The Mob interrupts the ceremony, where the Mayor is announcing the new development, with a massive dance performance. Anderson decides to improve the area instead of tearing everything down. Sean and Emily get back together. The Mob is invited to be in Nike commercials.

My favorite scene is the finale dance performance because it is really exciting.
Opinion about the main character:
Emily is torn between two worlds, the wealth of her father which requires her loyalty to him and her love of Sean who comes from the streets. It is interesting that somehow she gets to have both.
