Detailed plot synopsis reviews of People of the Wolf

People of the Wolf tells the story of a set of twins in pre-historic America. Runs in Light, is the dreamer of the tribe. He is also one part of a set of twins that are polar opposites. While Runs in Light believes in peace, Raven Hunter, his brother believes in the power of warfare.

In the beginning the main character, Runs in Light, is hunting a wolf. It is pre-historic America, it is cold and the tribe is slowly starving to death. After Runs in Light kills the wolf, he is renamed, Wolf Dreamer. Raven Hunter, Wolf Dreamer's twin brother hates the respect that most of the tribal members show his twin. They do, however, want some of the same things, primarily the same woman, Dancing Fox.

There are many conflicting opinions between the twins, which drives a wedge between them. Raven Hunter thinks the tribe should stay in their place and fight other invading tribes, while Wolf Dreamer thinks the tribe should travel beyond the great ice wall that separates Alaska from the Southern parts of the United States. The new leader knows that there is hope to survive beyond the wall.

Raven Hunter seeks to steal Dancing Fox from his twin brother. While this transpires, the tribe has placed great reverence on the advice of Wolf Dreamer. This makes Raven Hunter angry and he decides to leave the tribe. Raven Hunter does not stay away for long and Wolf Dreamer leaves to find the "One", a spiritual enlightenment. When the brothers meet up in the wilderness, they will fight. Someone will die and someone will transform.
Best scene in story: I loved the scenes when Wolf Dreamer meditated and found enlightenment. It was soothing and very interesting to read.

Opinion about the main character: I liked the spiritual personality of Wolf Dreamer, but I hated his passivity when facing his arrogant brother, Raven Hunter.
