Little Nemo must save Slumberland when he inadvertently releases an evil force from Nightmareland. Nemo is a child in the early 20th century who experiences vivid dreams. In many of these dreams his bed grows legs and either walks or flies him through dreamlike versions of the city he lives in. Many of these dreams take on nightmarish qualities, but Nemo is able to navigate away from these into calmer areas with the help of his pet flying squirrel Icarus. In one dream, Nemo is approached by a representative from Slumberland, Professor Genius, who informs him that he was been summoned by King Morpheus to be a playmate to his daughter, the princess Camille. He journeys with the Professor aboard his dirigible. They battle through a nightmare storm on their journey but eventually make it safely to Slumberland. Upon arriving, Nemo meets the king and the princess and also a clown with a poor reputation named Flip. Flip is charismatic but mischievous. Flip causes an accident and the two flee the royal guards into the lower portions of the castle where Nemo accidentally opens a door into Nightmareland that lets the Nightmare King into the Slumberland kingdom. At a party later that evening, Morpheus is stolen away by the Nightmare King. Nemo wakes up from this dream but is soon asleep and visited again by professor Genius. The two join Flip and journey to Nightmareland where Nemo battles the Nightmare king with Morpheus's own scepter. The Nightmare king defeated, the Slumberland kingdom is restored and Nemo returns to his waking life stronger.

Best part of story, including ending:
I love the early dream sequences, taken from the comic series on which this movie is based.
Best scene in story:
The opening dream scene is gorgeous and scary. There is a part where Nemo flies in his bed past Big Ben, but the hands of the clock are swinging randomly. Anytime the hands face down, Nemo's bed falls out of the sky.
Opinion about the main character:
At the end of the movie Nemo has to yell the magic words "Pajama pajama pajama pajama" over and over again to make his scepter do its magic. Annoying.
