Megan and Josh first met during a party thrown the day before James' and Megan's marriage. Josh and Megan were instantly attracted to each other. Josh kissed Megan that night and asked her not to marry James but Megan refused. James died only a little time after their first marriage anniversary and Megan blames Josh for James' death.

Megan's boss tells her that Josh got her the job and also used his power to get Megan where she is now. Megan becomes after hearing this, she doesn't want to be indebted to Josh. The developer of Seascape, Terry Bishop invites Josh and Megan to the opening of Seascape in Hilton Head. Initially Megan is reluctant to spend the weekend with Josh but then she plans to sabotage Josh's reputation by seducing Josh, making headlines and then leaving him.

During their stay, Megan comes know that Josh was engaged to Laura Wray, but broke it soon after. When she confronts Josh about it he tells that he fell in love with Megan the first time he saw her. He felt very bad about kissing her, his friend and employee's fiancé but he wanted her for himself. After their marriage Josh thought that they were always going to be together. He had met Laura on a blind date and liked her so had started dating. But when James died Josh broke his engagement with Laura.

Megan realizes that she too loves Josh and they make love. The morning after, Megan gets a call from her subordinate who tells her that one of Josh's employee is going to his competitor with Josh's plans. When Megan tells Josh, he doesn't believe her and Megan leaves Hilton Head. Megan finds through newspaper and grapevine that what she told Josh about his employee was the truth. She is upset that she can't be with Josh in this difficult time. After a week of her angry departure and no contact, Josh shows up at her home and they make up.
Best part of story, including ending: I like the story because it is a nice light romantic read.

Best scene in story: I like the scene in which Josh confesses his love for Megan and how much he was hurt when Megan married James.

Opinion about the main character: I dislike Megan because she blames Josh for her husband's death.
