She somehow manages to get to the Ratliff home and meet the General. When Lyon sees this he becomes very angry but Michael agrees to the interview.
Andy had been married to Robert Malone who had been killed while covering earthquake in Guatemala. Les Trapper, her boss and he had been friends.
Michael even invites Andy and her crew members to stay in his house for the duration of the interview. Lyon is concerned that Andy will ask something to Michael which will upset him and his health. During the interview the general talks about a lot of things but he doesn't talk much about the war. The general's health keeps getting worse as the time goes by.
One night while Andy is taking a swim Lyon comes out, they swim together eventually they make love. Les had previously told Andy to use any method even seduction to get information out of Lyon. Andy explains about it to Lyon when he make angry comments about it. The next day Les shows up at Lyon's house. Lyon becomes jealous of Les' closeness with Andy. Les asks Andy to ask the general to answer why took an early retirement and Andy refuses. Lyon appears and tell them leave, the general dies that night.
Les tells Andy that since the general is now dead and they have his last interview they can sell the videos to the highest bidder but Andy tells him that she has forgotten to ask Lyon to sign the agreement. Les tells her to get them signed as soon as possible. Andy wants to be with Lyon who hasn't been himself after his father's death. When Andy goes to meet Lyon he is angry and bitter, but she tells him that he is important and she loves him. Lyon finds that Andy has come there to sign the release forms, he gets angry and they fight. Andy leaves the tapes with Lyon and leaves.
Les gets angry with her for doing so, she tells him that she couldn't betray Lyon and she quits her job. While on a boat on the San Antonio River Andy is shocked to see Lyon, who begs for her forgiveness and proposes to her.
Best scene in story: My favorite scene is the last scene in which Lyon follows Andy to the boat and proposes her to marry him.

Opinion about the main character: I like Andy because she does not exploit the general and is sensitive to Lyon's feeling for his father.
