Cindy makes it to the ball in a beautiful evening dress made by her aunt and she manages to catch Prince's attention easily especially considering Sheila is not around. At her first encounter, she doesn't like his attitude and purports to have fun at the party either way. She goes on socializing with the other employees, but Prince cannot let her out of his gaze. Initially, he thought of her as the many other women who go crazy over him and put up an act to catch his attention, but he is wrong on this one. When it dawns on him that Cindy has moved on, he decides to make a move since he can no longer stand watching her dance with the other male employees. It seems to Cindy that finally her agenda for the night is being fulfilled and from there, they seem to having a good time. Prince is attracted to Cindy and realizes he cannot let her go before having the opportunity to kiss her. They leave the party to secluded place where they indulge in romance, and to his astonishment Cindy mentions Sheila reminding him that he is planning to propose to her over Christmas.
After that night, Cindy disappears and does not make any attempt to contact him. She however gets information that Prince is unwell and Vanessa advices her to check on him. She makes chicken soup with the help of her Aunt and delivers it to Thorne's apartment. She comes across a man who is devastated and despite being angry at her, he is at the same time delighted to see her. He manages to convince her to stay the night but she still manages to slip away without his knowledge again leaving him with no clue of whom she really is or where he can find her.
Prince does the unexpected and hires a private detective, William to investigate Cindy's identity and residence. She realizes this when her uncle informs her of a stranger who had been looking for her at their apartment. She realizes that Prince is not about to give up following her and so she decides to stop running away from him. She meets him outside the company and they plan a date on New Year's Eve, a time when Prince is forced to break the news of his new found love to Sheila. He goes ahead and takes Cindy to his parent's home knowing very well that she won't be met with the best reception especially from his mother.
To his surprise, his parents approve of Cindy almost immediately after asking her some few questions about her background. The night comes to an end full of promises but what happens the next day brings all the magic down. Sheila after being informed that Prince has introduced Cindy to his parents takes a desperate move and publishes a wedding announcement between her and Prince. This comes at a time when Prince is planning to propose to Cindy and his plans are cut short by this occurrence. Cindy disappears from his life once again and their next meeting is unexpected. Cindy is going about her cleaning business when she realizes that Prince is still in the office. He however fails to notice her and treats her with contempt as he would any other cleaning person. This breaks Cindy who runs off, but Vanessa gives her away by directing Prince to where she has gone to.
Prince expresses his interest in meeting Cindy's family but she is not comfortable with the idea at the moment. She requests to be given time to think the whole idea over as Prince has already expressed his interest in marrying her. She eventually accepts the proposal and their wedding is set six month after the day they met. This is a dream come true for Cindy since she has always been dreaming of marrying a prince charming who is now in front of her in the name of Thorne Prince.
Best part of story, including ending: I like this story because it is an illustration that love can blossom despite differences social classes.

Best scene in story: My favorite scene is when Cindy approaches Prince at the party and this is because her approach is hilarious.

Opinion about the main character: I like the fact that Cindy is determined to get married to her Prince and despite the challenges, she goes ahead and follows her heart.
