This is a fictitious story about three angles who are on earth, each for a specific assignment each, Shirley, Goodness and Mercy are supposed to keep watch over Leah, Monica and Jody. Leah has been a midwife for a long time and she finds pleasure making the delivery process comfortable for mothers. She is however unable to conceive and get her own baby. Monica on the other hand is madly in love with Chet, who fills her with fantasies and then disappoints her leaving her with a broken heart. Jody is living with her son Timmy and engaged to be married to Glen. However, since her husband Jeff disappeared, she has developed distrust towards all men including Glen. It is Christmas season but these three characters have nothing to celebrate. Leah and her husband Andrew are used to the idea of spending the festivities just the two of them as they have done this for years. Andrew takes charge of decorating the Christmas tree and despite the challenge of not having their own children, there's still love in their marriage. When alone, Leah spends most of her time crying and hoping that one day she will be able to conceive and bear a child of her own. Her heart is filled with sadness and Mercy, the angel who is supposed to help her out ends up crying with her. She is however inspired to look at the brighter side of life since she has a loving husband at a time when many married couples are ending up divorced. After she makes up her mind to remain happy with or without children, to her astonishment she conceives a few weeks down the line and Mercy is considered to have completed her assignment successfully.
Monica feels she is old enough to get married and start her own family but has been heartbroken by the man she loves. She has given up in finding a suitable husband and resorts to spending her life alone. Her father is determined to make her see the positive side of all but she always thinks his ideologies are never practical. After having a sexual encounter with Chet, he seems to have developed feelings towards her since he finds himself thinking about her most of the times. He however refuses to concede to the thoughts of ever wanting to marry Monica. Monica on the other hand keeps hoping that Chet will one day reconsider marrying her. Over Christmas, Chet suddenly feels the loneliness and decides to relocate to another town. Monica however discovers this and manages to convince him to stay. Chet is falling in love with her finally, but in her search for love she has had to learn patience.
Despite Glen's effort to act father in Timmy's life, Jody doesn't like this idea. Something else is really bothering her. Jeff's mother believes that she has never been a good wife to her son and always blames her for his disappearance. However, something unexpected happens this Christmas season. Jeff returns home in a devastating state. He looks old and emancipated to the point of Timmy doubting whether he is really his father. Jody is however happy since her life's misery has been solved and that was after she had learnt patience and tolerance.
Best part of story, including ending: I like this story because it gives hope to people going through difficult times.

Best scene in story: My favorite scene is when Timmy asks Jeff whether he is really his father. The man has been gone for long such that his son is unable to recognize him but eventually he accepts him.

Opinion about the main character: I like the fact that Shirley, Goodness and Mercy are able to accomplish their assignments
