About AllReaders
AllReaders is a home for people who love stories and want to go deeper than star ratings and blurbs.
We explore books, films, and the ideas that connect them, the motifs, themes, characters, and the patterns that keep showing up across culture. Instead of chasing quick summaries or clickbait lists, AllReaders is built to reward curiosity. When you fall in love with one work, we help you find the next ten that speak the same emotional language.
From early AllReaders to the new era
The original AllReaders.com was one of the internet’s early book review communities. Over time it faded, the web moved on, and the database sat more or less frozen in time.
This new version of AllReaders is not a clone of the old site. It’s a rebuild from the ground up: cleaner structure, better data, and a design meant to work well with both human readers and modern search and recommendation systems.
What we’re building
Under the hood, AllReaders runs on a structured “story graph.”
Each page, whether it’s a book, a movie, a motif, or a creator, is connected to others through shared ideas:
- recurring motifs and themes
- time period and setting
- related works and adaptations
- the people who wrote, directed, acted, or composed
This lets us do more than just list “similar books.” Over time, we’ll be able to suggest cross-media recommendations: books that echo a film, films that mirror a memoir, or works that share a specific emotional or aesthetic motif.
How we make money
AllReaders is funded through:
- Affiliate links to book and film retailers. If you click a link and buy something, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.
- Advertising, shown with your consent, managed through Cookiebot and compliant with EU privacy rules.
- In the future, possibly premium tools or newsletters for readers who want even deeper analysis.
There are no paid “placements” in our lists or reviews. If we feature a work, it’s because we think it’s interesting, not because someone paid for a mention.
Who runs AllReaders
AllReaders is owned and operated by World Domination AB, a company based in Malmö, Sweden.
The project is curated by a small team of humans plus a lot of carefully-tamed AI. Editorial decisions, data checks, and final publishing are always human-supervised. We care about accuracy, context, and not turning culture into SEO sludge.
What’s coming next
At launch, AllReaders focuses on a small but growing set of works, starting with books and their film connections. Over time we will:
- expand coverage across more books and films
- add structured motif hubs and creator pages
- build smart lists that surface works by mood, theme, and emotional “feel”
- experiment with personal recommendation tools for registered users
Our goal is simple: if you care about stories, AllReaders should quietly become one of your favorite places on the internet.
