4 Blondes Book Summary and Study Guide

Detailed plot synopsis reviews of 4 Blondes

Janey Wilcox is a fabulous model in her early thirties living in New York city and playing in the summertime in the Hamptons. At the beginning of every summer Janey attaches herself to a rich and powerful man who happens to have real estate in the Hamptons. That way Janie can assure herself of a fabulous Hamptons summer vacation, courtesy of her rich sugar Daddy. Sadly, Janey's relationships always implode, usually due to Janey's habit of cheating on her rich boyfriends and never being completely satisfied with their wealth or position. Janey is a sometime model who is looking to become rich and famous. Janey goes through men like toilet paper and manages to gain a reputation as a naughty girl, the kind of girl who would steal a woman's husband. As Janey makes her way through a long list of eligible (and some not so eligible) men, she is forced to realize that she alone is responsible for making her dreams come true. Winnie Dieke is a high powered journalist who is in serious denial about her angst-riddled husband and her troubled marriage. Winnie's husband James has the hots for Winnie's younger sister, Evie, a screwed up, sexually loose young woman who dreams of being a successful journalist. Winne finds herself cheating on James with Tanner, a man who makes her feel cherished and loved. Cecilia Luxenstein, a famous blonde, is driven to paranoia and frenzy by the paparazzi and her conflicted feelings about her celebrity. Egged on by her friend Dianna Moon, Cecilia has affairs in New York city and the South of France, all the while maintaining her glamourous facade. The last blonde is an American sex columnist who heads to England in order to find the love of her life. After experiencing lackluster relationships in London, the woman heads back to New York city, only to find the love of her life sitting next to her on the plane.
