Amalgamemnon Book Summary and Study Guide

Amalgamenon is a stream-of-consciousness novel following the thoughts of an aging history professor in the near future. She sits up late at night reading a book of Greek mythology and thinking about how she has lost her job, as her field has become obsolete. The woman also creates imaginary characters and fantasy situations, addressing politics, romance, and the position of women.
